spaced and left justified. Also, you will probably have internal citations for your paper. When you cite a source you will always include the author(s) and year of the source (Johnson, 2019). If you have a citation that has more than one author you will slightly modify the citation (Johnson & Johnson, 2019). However, according to Johnson and Johnson (2019), if you have a citation that has more than one author outside of the parentheses you will use the word ‘and’ to connect them. To add more to your paper you may want to include quotes. If this is the case, “you will need to include a page number in your internal citation” (Johnson & Johnson, 2019, p. 415). CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE CASE STUDIES Critical Evaluation of the Case Studies Park University John Bradford April 4, 2021 1 CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE CASE STUDIES 2 Critical Evaluation of the Case Studies Both studies involve violation of profound ethical principles because the researchers from both subjects in the studies did not protect the participants’ rights. They conducted secret tests on them and did not consider letting people know about the tests. Both studies were ethically wrong. I chose the Tuskegee Syphilis study because it shows how the disease was discovered and how the researchers came to deal with its presence and find its cure. It also shows how sometimes human test subjects do not get the right to know what they are getting into (Charlotte & Brookes, 2013). On the other hand, the Yanomami study also shows how the test subjects did not get an option to choose what they wanted. The significant differences between the two scenarios are that the Tuskegee study involved searching for a disease common in men. It also involved looking for a cure for the sick subjects, and all of them were allegedly sick. For the research, the public intervened and showed their anger towards the study. However, the Yanomami study involved using the people as subjects to test for poisoning. Instead of creating fury among the public to stop the government from using them as test subjects, it opened doors for many more agencies and research centers to conduct their tests on the people (Coello de la Rosa, 2018). The tests were also undertaken not for the benefit of the people but the government. The two case studies show discrimination, how one group was discriminated against and treated like lab rats for world research without considering their species.
